Famous Last Words is a regular submission to DPR by a local screenwriter, who goes by the name of Zackary Wilson. Wilison's screenplay, Famous Last Words, is a script-in-progress, in collaboration with a (local) friend.
(The picture is black, we hear someone fidgeting with a camcorder. As squiggly bars of static undulate on the picture, indicating the camera is revving up, we hear someone speak.)
"Testing. Testing. One, two three. Hello Time Magazine. One, two, three. Testing."
(A blurry face appears. The camera struggles to find focus. At last, it focuses in on a young man's face. He is in his mid-to-late twenties, black curly hair, green eyes.)
"Hello Time Magazine. My name is Aegean Eisenhower. As you might have guessed, that is not my real name. "Does the name "Tricky Dick" ring a bell? Apart from the president, that was Frank's nickname in New York City, where he spent two decades of his life as a gangster. The first decade's glory was matched by the second one's ingloriousness."
Does the name Tonie Boboni ring a bell? His death made headlines last week. He used to be Frank's boss. It would be the world's greatest understatement to say that Frank quit working for Tony B under good circumstances."
"That's like saying God casting Satan out of heaven was an amicable break up."
"Up to the day he died, Tony B had been looking for Tricky D. Now, with Tony B gone, Frank decided it was time to get the record straight about what led him to ratting out the biggest crime bosses on the east coast and entering the witness protection program."
(Cut to Aegean taking a seat in a chair adjacent to a couch, upon which Frank is seated. Frank has a beard, wears large black sunglasses, a trucker hat, and a t-shirt with a smiley face. A bottle of JAck Daniels is on a table adjacent to the couch. A lamp is on the table, illuminating the book Frank is trying to plug with the interview.)
